Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 18 August 2026
Overview
Busby is a product of Parkor Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This page explains how to delete your Busby account and every piece of data associated with it, including any data Busby received from Facebook, Instagram or Google.
There are two ways to do this: delete it yourself from the dashboard (immediate), or email us (within 30 days). Both result in the same outcome.
Option 1 — delete your account yourself
This is immediate and irreversible.
- Sign in at busby.digital/login.
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Select Delete account.
- Type your business name (or the word DELETE) to confirm.
Your data is erased at that moment — there is no soft-delete window and no recovery. Any active subscription is cancelled first so you are not billed again.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@busby.digital from the address on your account, with the subject Data deletion request.
We will verify that you own the account, carry out the deletion, and confirm in writing within 30 days, as required by UK GDPR.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes all of the following permanently:
- Account and brand data — your profile, business details, brand assets, and onboarding answers
- Advertising connections — access and refresh tokens, connected ad account IDs, and connected Facebook Page and Instagram account links
- Campaigns and creative — ad copy, generated images and video, budgets, spend records, and performance history
- CRM data — leads, contacts, pipeline stages, activity logs, and purchase records
- Email data — journeys, sends, engagement, consent records, suppression entries, and segments
- Analytics — page views, conversion events, and attribution records
- AI training material — your ad copy, image prompts, subject lines, and journey outcomes are purged from Busby's shared model-improvement pool in the same operation, so nothing of yours remains eligible for reuse
Your sign-in identity is removed from our authentication provider as a final step. Email privacy@busby.digital if you would like written confirmation.
Facebook and Instagram data
Busby connects to Facebook and Instagram only to run and report on advertising you have asked it to run. It stores the access tokens you granted, the ad account and Facebook Page identifiers you selected, and the advertising performance figures returned by Meta. It does not store your Facebook friends, posts, photos, or messages.
All of it is removed by either option above. If you remove Busby from Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, that revokes Busby's access going forward but does not by itself delete the data already stored — use one of the two options above to erase it.
Disconnecting without deleting your account
If you only want to sever the advertising connection and keep your Busby account, go to Settings → Integrations and disconnect the relevant platform. This revokes the stored tokens and removes the connection, leaving the rest of your account intact.
What we are required to keep
Payment and invoice records are held by our payment processor, Stripe, and are retained under statutory accounting and tax obligations (seven years under UK law). These records cover the transaction itself and are not used for advertising, profiling, or model training.
Aggregated, anonymised industry benchmarks that can no longer be linked to you or your business are unaffected by deletion, because they no longer constitute personal data.
